On May 29th of 2026, Ghana's Parliament passed the “Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill”, better known as the anti-LGBTQ bill. Since 2021, select members of Parliament and foreign hate groups have pushed for this slaughtering of human rights in the country known for “Freedom and Justice” since 1957. Is this what the legacy has come to? #GhanaCheckYourAura

Western Influences

See the hate groups hiding behind “family values” working to influence African politics:

Family Watch International: Defined as a hate group by Southern Poverty Law Center with more than one suspicious eye cast on them. Despite denying involvement in such things, they've already been caught in the act. Read more from a Ghanaian publication.

Center for Family and Human Rights a.k.a. C-Fam: A Catholic far-right organization founded to affect UN policy. Also identified as a hate group by the SPLC. Is a part of the original advisory team for Project 2025. Hear what they have to say about Ghana's bill themselves.

Family Research Council: Formerly connected to Focus on the Family, affiliated with a lobbying PAC named FRC Action. Paid lobbyists to stop the denouncement of the Ugandan anti-LGBT bill. Has also been defined as a hate group by the SPLC, which they didn't seem to like.

Christian Council International: Based in the Netherlands with an aim to affect policy regarding reproductive rights and to “protect” the institution of family. Regarding Africa, they aim to “prevent the export and implementation of secular policies from the UN and the West across the continent.” Has proudly claimed involvement in the Draft African Charter on Family, Sovereignty and Values. Here is their summary of the proposal.
